Picnic Time!

Opening

Visitors to the farm can enjoy a delicious picnic lunch on the banks of the tranquil Klein River or in the garden.

For children, there is an extensive playground to enjoy, many farm animals to see and individually packed Childrens Picnic Baskets are available.

Room Temp To bring out its full flavour, cheese should be served at room temperature.

The Cottage Print E-mail

Situated 27 km from Hermanus is the Klein River Cottage / Cheese Shop. At Stanford turn left onto the R326, after +/- 7 km turn left again onto a short gravel road.

The cottage is on the banks of the Klein River with a big, private front garden sloping down to the water.

It has a fully equipped, open-plan kitchen/lounge, with television, indoor fireplace and a large veranda overlooking the river with braai facilities.

There are 3 bedrooms (1 of which is en suite) and 2 bathrooms.

Two of the rooms have double beds and the other has two 3/4 beds, all linen and towels are provided.

Visitors to the cottage are welcome to bring their fishing rods, canoes, bicycles or can enjoy bird watching from the cottage veranda. We do have a small dingy available.

The cottage sleeps only 6 people. NO PETS allowed on farm.


RATES FOR 2010

December 2009 to January 2010:

R270 per adult per night
R140 per child per night (under 10)
For 2 adults: minimum charge of R690 per night

NB: Minimum booking of 5 nights

February 2010 to November 2010:

R200 per adult per night
R100 per child per night (under 10)
Sleeps 6 people
For 2 adults: minimum charge of R450 per night

On the farm is our own Cheese Factory where different cheeses are made.

In our cheese shop the cheeses can be tasted while viewing the cheese making process. Cheese is made during the week in the mornings. Shop open weekdays 09:00 to 17:00 and Saturdays 09:00 to 13:00.

We also sell picnics from 11:00 to 15:00 daily, including Sundays and Public Holidays. Reservations are advised.

For children there is a playground to enjoy and farm animals to see.
